Executive Recruitment — Civil, Electrical and Mechanical, Advt. 15/26
NTPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, invites applications for six fixed-term Executive posts for its gas-engine-based power project at Great Nicobar Island. Advertisement 15/26 has two Civil, two Electrical and two Mechanical vacancies. The official related notice is dated 29 October 2026; applications opened on 30 October and close on 13 November 2026 at 6:00 p.m. IST.
Degree and experience
Each discipline requires a full-time BE/BTech in that discipline from a recognised/approved institution in India and at least one year of relevant post-qualification executive experience. Civil experience includes site execution, construction supervision, QA/QC, project monitoring or related civil work. Electrical experience covers installation, testing, commissioning, operations/maintenance, HT/LT equipment, transformers, DG sets, switchgear, cabling, utilities, QA/QC or project monitoring. Mechanical experience covers site execution/supervision, monitoring, QA/QC, maintenance, installation or commissioning. The experience must be in the industrial, infrastructure, EPC, construction, maintenance or project environments described in the notice.
Age, nationality and vacancy categories
Only Indian nationals may apply. The upper age limit is 32, with age, experience and qualification assessed on the closing date. Each discipline has two UR vacancies. Category-based age relaxation is subject to the advertisement’s conditions, including whether a vacancy is identified for that category; applicants should not assume an unconditional relaxation. PwBD reservation follows government guidelines and the discipline-specific identified disability categories in the full notice. Temporary disability conditions likely to improve do not qualify for PwBD reservation. Category entries cannot be changed after submission.
Pay and fixed-term appointment
Monthly consolidated remuneration is ₹71,000. Company accommodation/HRA, retention benefit and medical facilities for the employee, spouse, dependent parents and two children are additional listed benefits. The initial term is one year, with provision for further extension for a maximum of two years according to organisational needs and performance. Great Nicobar Island is the stated posting, but transfer to NTPC offices, stations, projects, joint ventures or subsidiaries is possible. Appointment is subject to NTPC medical examination and prescribed health standards.
Application fee
General, EWS and OBC applicants pay a non-refundable ₹500 application fee. SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and female candidates are exempt. Payment can be made through the online application’s payment option or the specified SBI pay-in-slip process. Follow the portal instructions carefully; fees are not refundable and incorrect-account payments are the candidate’s responsibility.

Documents and selection
Prepare your Class X certificate, identity documents, degree/provisional certificate, complete semester mark sheets, marks-conversion formula where relevant, and applicable category/disability documents. The notice specifies current financial-year formats for OBC-NCL and EWS documents. Experience evidence should establish the relevant work, dates and role through service certificates, appointment/joining and role-assignment records, pay slips and Form 16 as applicable. Incomplete evidence may lead to rejection. NTPC may screen applications, hold written/computer-based tests and/or interviews, or raise shortlisting criteria.
