Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship 2026–27

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship 2026–27

The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship, administered with Foundation for Excellence (FFE), supports eligible students pursuing engineering education in India. FFE's programme page identifies the 2026–27 scholarship cycle and describes financial assistance, a laptop, mentoring and opportunities to build technology-career skills. Amazon's official India programme homepage currently states that scholarship applications are open.

This is a scholarship, not a guaranteed internship or job. Selected scholars receive educational support subject to the programme's rules. An opportunity to appear for an Amazon internship is one of the published benefits, but receiving the scholarship does not guarantee an internship placement, a job or selection for every applicant.

Scholarship benefits

FFE states that selected recipients receive INR 50,000 per year until graduation, with annual renewal conditions. The programme also lists a laptop, mentoring, skill-building activities, networking opportunities and an opportunity to appear for an Amazon internship. These benefits should not be confused with a monthly salary or internship stipend.

Annual renewal depends on continued full-time enrolment in an eligible course, satisfactory standing with the institution and continuation of the programme by Amazon. FFE describes the award as support for undergraduate study. Applicants should therefore review the renewal requirements rather than treating the entire period of support as unconditional.

Who can apply?

The specific eligibility section on FFE's current page says applicants must be Indian citizens and girl students pursuing BE, BTech or integrated MTech courses, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology. It further identifies first-year applicants beginning BE or BTech studies and says applicants are expected to have passed the higher-secondary or equivalent qualifying examination after 2024.

Admission to the professional course or institution must be based on merit rank in a state- or national-level entrance examination, or a state-level counselling process. The page specifically excludes diploma students admitted laterally to BE or BTech courses. Candidates should check the exact course and admission conditions with FFE before assuming that every engineering admission route qualifies.

Family-income conditions

FFE's current eligibility section states that annual family income should be below INR 4 lakh. It defines gross income as income before tax or other deductions. Financial assessment is not limited to the income figure: the page also mentions parents' education and occupation, family circumstances, the circumstances of other family members and expenditure on the applicant's education.

Applicants who would be the first graduates in their family receive preference over applicants from families where an older child is already pursuing graduation. Preference is not the same as guaranteed selection. The programme combines academic and financial assessment, and not every eligible applicant will receive an award.

How selection works

FFE describes an online application process followed by eligibility assessment. Prospective students may be connected with volunteer facilitators who meet the student or family virtually to assess financial need. Academic credentials and family-background information are verified before the required supporting material and application are completed.

Shortlisted scholars are also asked to submit the essay specified in the application. FFE describes its scholarship model as reimbursement-based because students have already incurred educational expenses when first applying. FFE makes recipient-selection decisions; the published description does not promise selection merely for completing the initial form.

Application deadline and notifications

Amazon's official India homepage currently says scholarship applications are open. A current closing date is not established in the visible FFE application section, so this article does not assign an unverified deadline. Applicants should check the official programme page and any instructions provided by FFE before planning their submission.

The notification tab on FFE's 2026–27 page says applicants will be notified by 31 March 2027, subject to verification and selection. That is a notification date, not an application deadline. FFE also states that scholarship payments are processed on Amazon's behalf in one instalment before 31 March each year.

How to begin

  1. Open the official FFE programme page linked below.
  2. Review the academic, admission-route and family-income conditions before starting.
  3. Use the Apply Now section. Its initial form asks for a name, mobile number and email address.
  4. Follow FFE's subsequent application, verification, document and essay instructions. Completing an initial enquiry form alone should not be treated as confirmation of a scholarship award.
  5. Check the current deadline and track any programme communications directly from FFE.
