Clerk Trainee (Accounts and Program Office)
Two clerk-trainee roles at ICTS-TIFR
ICTS-TIFR is holding walk-in selection for one Clerk Trainee in Accounts and one Clerk Trainee in the Program Office at its Bengaluru campus. Both roles carry consolidated monthly emoluments of ₹22,000 and an upper age limit of 28 years. The walk-in is on 5 November 2026, with reporting at 10:00 a.m. at the ICTS campus in Hesaraghatta. Report at the main security gate on arrival.
Accounts trainee: qualifications and work
The Accounts role requires a BCom degree from a recognised university or institute, along with typing knowledge and the use of personal computers and applications. Freshers with these skills can apply. Training covers accounts and financial rules applicable to government organisations. The notice does not require prior paid work experience for this trainee role.
Program Office trainee: qualifications and work
The Program Office role requires graduation from a recognised university or institute and knowledge of typing, personal computers and applications. Fresh graduates are encouraged. Desirable strengths include written and verbal communication, basic numerical and data-handling ability, common word-processing, spreadsheet and email tools, and teamwork. Training includes academic programmes, international meetings, seminars and workshops: correspondence, registration, records, travel and accommodation coordination, documents and data entry.
Age and category conditions
The stated upper age is 28 years, assessed on the walk-in date. The trainee scheme carries no reservation. The notice also states that candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD categories can apply for unreserved posts; it specifically says SC/ST/OBC/EWS applicants to unreserved posts do not receive category age relaxation. Read any other applicable relaxation rule directly in the notice rather than assuming it applies automatically.
Training tenure and monthly payment
Each selected trainee receives ₹22,000 per month consolidated. The initial tenure is six months. It may be extended up to one year depending on performance and the centre’s requirements, with a further reviewed extension possible if needed. These are conditional possibilities, not an assured two-year term. Selected candidates must be able to join immediately. The scheme is on-job training and gives no claim to a permanent or temporary institute appointment during or after training.
Documents for the walk-in
Bring your CV, original identity proof, date-of-birth proof, all educational marksheets and certificates, and experience certificates if applicable, together with photocopies for verification. Recognised identity documents listed include Aadhaar, election ID, PAN, passport or driving licence. Where the university awards CGPA or letter grades, bring the equivalent percentage using the institution’s rules. The notice says candidature cannot be considered without the required conversion.
Selection and practical preparation
The institute may conduct written or skill tests, shortlist candidates, or change or cancel selection. Meeting the minimum criteria alone does not ensure selection. Prepare to demonstrate typing/computer competence and the skills relevant to the chosen office. Travel planning is the applicant’s responsibility; the walk-in requires personal attendance at the stated time and venue. Check the official source for addenda before leaving.
Application method and scope
There is no online clerk-trainee form specified for these two posts: candidates attend the walk-in with their documents. The same advertisement also contains separate project engineering and scientific-assistant posts with a different online process; their 18 November deadline does not apply to these clerk trainees. This article covers only the two walk-in trainee roles. The official notice is ICTS-Notice-2026/09, dated 29 October 2026.
