About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Backend Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Developer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain valuable experience in developing and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to the development of our core platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to build a career in backend development.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of backend APIs using NodeJS, NestJS and ExpressJS.
Work with MongoDB to create and manage data models and database schemas.
Contribute to the development of server-side logic and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and development environments.
Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and designers to implement new features and improvements.
Learn and apply best practices in backend development.
Contribute to the development of unit and integration tests.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or recent graduate).
Solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts and data structures.
Experience with JavaScript and NodeJS.
Familiarity with ExpressJS framework.
Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
Basic understanding of RESTful API design principles.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points (Good to Have):
Experience with NestJS framework.
Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
Contribution to open-source projects.
Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
