National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has opened applications for 90 Supervisor-I and Junior Maintainer vacancies under two separate notices. Vacancy Notice 32/2026 covers 67 Operations and Maintenance posts through direct recruitment. Vacancy Notice 33/2026 covers another 23 posts on a five-year contract with regular pay scales. These employment terms are different: the contractual positions do not carry a right to regularisation.
The recruitment includes engineering, IT, full-stack development, hospitality, corporate communications and ITI trades. Applications opened on 10 September 2026 and close on 9 October 2026 at 11:55 PM IST. Both notices use the same official application portal, but candidates must choose the correct notice and post code. This guide summarises the two notices; it is not an application form or a guarantee of eligibility.

Notice 32/2026: 67 direct-recruitment vacancies
This notice recruits Operations and Maintenance staff. Its post codes begin with D. The 43 Supervisor-I positions and 24 Junior Maintainer positions are distributed as follows:
| Code | Post and discipline | Vacancies |
|---|---|---|
| D01 | Supervisor-I: Operations | 2 |
| D02 | Supervisor-I: Electronics | 18 |
| D03 | Supervisor-I: Electrical | 14 |
| D04 | Supervisor-I: Mechanical | 3 |
| D05 | Supervisor-I: Civil | 6 |
| D06 | Junior Maintainer: Electrical | 8 |
| D07 | Junior Maintainer: Fitter | 9 |
| D08 | Junior Maintainer: Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning | 5 |
| D09 | Junior Maintainer: Electronics | 2 |
The category totals are 45 UR, 2 EWS, 13 OBC Non-Creamy Layer, 5 SC and 2 ST vacancies. Category availability differs by post code, so the overall total should not be treated as the reservation distribution for an individual discipline.
Notice 33/2026: 23 five-year contract vacancies
The second notice uses C-series post codes. It includes 19 supervisors and four junior maintainers. Although these positions have regular pay scales, the appointments are contractual for five years from appointment, with no entitlement to regularisation.
| Code | Post and specialisation | Vacancies |
|---|---|---|
| C01 | Supervisor-I: Information Technology | 5 |
| C02 | Supervisor-I: IT, Full Stack Developer | 1 |
| C03 | Supervisor-I: IT, Full Stack Developer, ITMS | 1 |
| C04 | Supervisor-I: IT, AFC and NCMC, ITMS | 1 |
| C05 | Supervisor-I: Corporate Hospitality | 1 |
| C06 | Supervisor-I: Corporate Communications | 1 |
| C07 | Supervisor-I: Electrical | 2 |
| C08 | Supervisor-I: Civil | 7 |
| C09 | Junior Maintainer: Electrical | 2 |
| C10 | Junior Maintainer: Fitter | 2 |
The contractual notice lists 20 UR, 2 OBC Non-Creamy Layer and 1 SC vacancies. Read the post-wise reservation table before selecting a category. Similar titles across the two notices do not mean the employment conditions are interchangeable.
Educational qualifications and experience
Engineering and IT posts
For D01 Operations, NCRTC accepts a full-time engineering degree or engineering diploma in any branch. D02 to D05 require a three-year diploma in the corresponding Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil discipline. Relevant full-time BE, BTech or BSc Engineering qualifications are also permitted for those four codes. The same relevant-degree provision applies to contractual Electrical and Civil codes C07 and C08.
For C01 to C04, the listed options include a three-year Computer Science or Information Technology diploma; BCA; BSc IT; BE or BTech in Computer Science, IT or Electronics; or MCA, subject to the notice's full-time and equivalence conditions. These include the two full-stack developer positions. Do not assume an unrelated degree qualifies simply because you have coding skills.
Hospitality and corporate communications
C05 requires graduation in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or the accepted equivalent. C06 requires graduation and a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication, Public Relations or the accepted equivalent. A general graduate degree alone does not meet the stated C06 requirement.
ITI posts and essential restrictions
The Junior Maintainer posts require full-time NCVT or SCVT ITI qualifications in the relevant trade: Electrician, Fitter, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning, or Electronics Mechanic, depending on the code. A higher qualification without the required ITI certificate is not accepted for D06–D09 or C09–C10.
The eligibility tables do not specify a minimum number of prior work-experience years. This does not remove the prescribed qualifications, age, medical or document-verification requirements. Qualifications generally must be full-time regular courses from recognised institutions. NCRTC employees meeting the notice's one-year service condition have specified relaxations. Anyone relying on equivalence should check the original wording and required documentary proof with NCRTC before paying.
Age limits and reservation
The notices require Indian nationals above 18 years of age and list a maximum age of 28 years before applicable relaxations, assessed on 10 September 2026. Listed upper-age relaxations include five years for SC/ST and three for OBC Non-Creamy Layer, subject to the reserved-post conditions. Ex-servicemen have the prescribed service-related relaxation.
PwBD age relaxations are 10, 13 or 15 years for the corresponding UR/EWS, OBC or SC/ST categories, where the post is identified as suitable. Suitability and horizontal reservation are post-specific, not applicable indiscriminately to all 90 vacancies. The notices cap the maximum age after all relaxations at 50 years. Candidates should read the category conditions, including the rules for applying against unreserved vacancies and prescribed certificate formats.
Salary, allowances and employment conditions
- Supervisor-I, S1: pay scale ₹37,000–₹1,15,000; initial basic pay ₹37,000.
- Junior Maintainer, NS3: pay scale ₹18,250–₹59,200; initial basic pay ₹18,250.
These figures are pay scales and initial basic pay, not guaranteed take-home salary. Variable Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, applicable perks and other benefits are governed by company rules. Posting and duties depend on organisational requirements; the notices do not promise a candidate's preferred city or a fixed workweek.
Notice 32 specifies a two-year probation period. Notice 33 instead sets out a five-year contract and its termination conditions. Both notices require a three-year minimum service surety bond: ₹4 lakh for supervisors and ₹3 lakh for junior maintainers. They also specify one month's prior notice for resignation or termination. Read these obligations before accepting an appointment; the bond amount is not the application fee.
CBT, documents and medical selection
Selection consists of a Computer Based Test followed by the prescribed medical fitness examination. Original eligibility documents are checked at the medical-examination stage. The CBT has 100 questions for 100 marks, lasts 90 minutes and has no negative marking. Candidates can choose Hindi or English.
The stated qualifying threshold is 60% for UR/OBC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/ex-servicemen, subject to the applicable category rules. Achieving that threshold does not guarantee shortlisting or appointment: merit and available positions still matter. The syllabus is to be published separately on NCRTC's website.
Medical standards differ: D01–D05 and C07–C08 use A3; D06–D09 and C09–C10 use B1; C01–C06 use C1. The notices include vision requirements and restrictions on LASIK or keratotomy for vision correction. These are important eligibility conditions, not a routine formality. Consult the full medical section and NCRTC for individual applicability rather than assuming that an IT or office-based post has no medical requirements.
Application fees and documents to prepare
UR, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, EWS and ex-servicemen applicants pay ₹500 per post, excluding applicable transaction charges and GST. SC, ST and PwBD applicants are exempt. Paid fees are non-refundable. Applying for multiple posts requires separate applicable fees, and the CBTs may clash; paying for several posts does not guarantee that you can attend every test.
Prepare a recent colour photograph in JPG/JPEG, 100–200 KB; a scanned signature in JPG/JPEG, 80–150 KB; and educational, category and other required certificates in JPG/JPEG/PDF, 100–1,000 KB. Keep your personal email and mobile number active throughout recruitment. Use the institution's prescribed percentage-conversion evidence where your qualification uses grades or CGPA.
