Who can apply
Age 40–70 years. A professional with at least 12 years’ experience and a Master’s in Hindi/equivalent with English as a graduation subject, or a Hindi-medium postgraduate degree with adequate English knowledge; OR at least 10 years’ relevant experience as a Hindi/Rajbhasha Officer in a Government of India ministry/department, PSU or autonomous body. Desirable knowledge covers the Union’s official-language policy, the Official Languages Act and Rules, Hindi–English translation, drafting and Hindi typing, as well as computer, internet and email use. The alternative experience route is specific to the public institutions named in the notice and should not be replaced with a broad claim that any ten years of work qualifies.
Work and responsibilities
The consultant will assist implementation of official-language policy, prepare Hindi progress reports, translate reports and administrative documents, and support parliamentary inspection material. The role includes Hindi drafting and translation in both directions, helping the institute’s official-language committees, supporting workshops and Hindi-fortnight activities, and following up on implementation recommendations.
Remuneration and contract conditions
The advertised remuneration is ₹1,00,000–1,50,000 per month. For retired government employees, pay is determined under the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure memorandum dated 9 December 2020; the advertised range should not be treated as a guaranteed amount for every retired applicant.
