**Position Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automated Tester to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. This role offers a valuable internship experience that involves hands-on engagement in a live production environment, collaborating closely with developers to enhance and optimize our platform’s automated testing frameworks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, robustness, and quality of our products, contributing to meaningful projects aligned with impact measurement and sustainability.
**Key Responsibilities**
– Design and architect comprehensive automated testing strategies and frameworks, developing detailed plans to ensure thorough test coverage from end to end.
– Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases utilizing low-code/no-code testing platforms such as BugBug, GetScandium, and other comparable tools.
– Proactively identify, document, and track software defects, working collaboratively with development teams to facilitate timely issue resolution.
– Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation related to automated testing, including test plans, scripts, and outcome reports.
– Conduct rigorous testing to detect edge cases and systematically improve test coverage, assuming full ownership of the testing lifecycle—from planning and creation to deployment and monitoring.
– Provide consistent updates and transparent communication to clients and internal stakeholders regarding testing progress, findings, and enhancements made to automation workflows.
– Incorporate feedback and adapt automated test workflows to continuously elevate coverage, efficiency, and alignment with product requirements.
**Qualifications and Skills**
– Demonstrated experience or strong enthusiasm for automated testing, particularly using low-code/no-code platforms such as BugBug, GetScandium, TestSigma, or similar.
– Solid understanding of JavaScript and HTML, enabling the development of sophisticated automation scripts and effective troubleshooting of testing issues.
– Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that automated tests precisely reflect client requirements and functionality prior to product launch.
– Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English, facilitating clear reporting and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
– Eagerness and ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, particularly in the domains of impact measurement and the charity/nonprofit sector.
– Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, regression testing practices, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes is advantageous.
– Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving capabilities, with a methodical approach to testing and quality assurance.
**Additional Information**
– This position is structured as a fixed-term contract.
– Compensation is performance-based and tied to achievement of predefined goals, with payment disbursed as a lump sum upon successful completion of the contract tenure.
– The role is offered on a fully remote basis, facilitating flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, global team.
