CA/CMA Interns for the Year 2026
Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has opened applications for 51 CA/CMA internship positions in Finance and Accounts at its headquarters and units. This is practical training for candidates who have passed the Inter examination of CA or CMA, not a general graduate vacancy or a permanent government-job offer. NPCIL is a central public-sector undertaking under the Department of Atomic Energy.
The official notice is NPCIL/CACMA/2026/04. Applications opened on 6 October 2026 at 10 a.m. and close on 26 October 2026 at 5 p.m. The advertised stipend is ₹20,000 per month. An additional ₹5,000 per month is conditional on accommodation being unavailable at the relevant NPCIL unit or headquarters; it is not an automatic payment to every intern.

Eligibility and important restrictions
The opportunity is for Indian nationals who have passed Inter CA or Inter CMA. Practical-training eligibility is also governed by the terms of the respective professional institutes. Screening uses aggregate marks, and applications without final marks will not be considered. Candidates awaiting the required final marks should not treat this as permission to apply with an incomplete result.
The age cutoff is 26 October 2026. The advertisement specifies a minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 56, with its birth-date table excluding candidates born before 26 October 1970 or on or after 27 October 2008. Applicants should use the official age table and their documentary birth date when completing the form.
Reserved-category benefits require the prescribed supporting certificates. The notice sets out SC/ST, OBC non-creamy-layer, EWS and PwBD requirements, including applicable certificate formats and dates. OBC benefits relate to the central list and non-creamy-layer status; EWS documentation must meet the stated 2026–27 requirements. Consult the full advertisement for your category rather than assuming that any certificate format will be accepted.
Locations and the 51 positions
The published site-wise numbers are: headquarters in Mumbai, 10; TAPS in Maharashtra, 4; RAPS in Rajasthan, 9; NAPS in Uttar Pradesh, 4; KAPS in Gujarat, 5; MAPS in Tamil Nadu, 3; KGS in Karnataka, 6; GHAVP in Haryana, 3; and KKNPP in Tamil Nadu, 7. The total comprises 24 unreserved, 7 SC, 4 ST, 13 OBC and 3 EWS positions, with horizontal PwBD reservation as detailed in the notice.
The numbers can change depending on the extension or completion of training by existing interns. Selection may be held, cancelled or followed by an offer when the earlier batch completes, within the relevant site’s limits. Applicants may indicate preferences as permitted in the online process; the advertised total is not a guarantee of immediate joining at a chosen location.
Stipend, tenure and working arrangements
The initial training period is 12 months. A further extension of up to 12 months may be considered case by case, subject to performance and institute requirements. A two-year tenure is therefore not guaranteed. Training takes place at NPCIL’s units or headquarters: the virtual interview provision does not make this a work-from-home internship.
The notice specifies eight working hours a day, including a one-hour lunch break, across five days a week in general shift. Accommodation and site transport are subject to the stated availability and rules; accommodation carries the normal licence fee where provided. The notice also describes outpatient/first-aid facilities and one day of paid leave per month, with proportionate stipend deductions for absence beyond the permitted entitlement.
Selection and document verification
Shortlisting is based on aggregate Inter-examination marks, with the stated 1:5 screening ratio for interview. Shortlisted applicants are informed through their registered email for the personal interview in virtual mode. Meeting the minimum qualification does not itself guarantee an interview or selection.
Engagement is subject to the required certificate verification, medical examination, police verification and character/conduct documentation. Keep original documents, the prescribed self-attested copies and the signed application printout ready when instructed. Completion of this practical training does not create an entitlement to regular employment with NPCIL.
How to apply online
