As a Data Analyst Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting various departments by building scalable data pipelines, performing detailed analyses, and creating actionable insights through dashboards and visualizations.
**Key Responsibilities**
In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines that support diverse teams including product, growth, sales, marketing, and finance. You will leverage your technical expertise to write optimized SQL queries and handle voluminous datasets efficiently. Your analytical skills will be applied to perform in-depth analysis and reporting utilizing tools such as Python, Advanced Excel, and Google Spreadsheets.
One of your key deliverables will be the creation of intuitive dashboards and visual reports aimed at simplifying complex data insights for stakeholders who may not have a technical background. You will work with real-world business problems, analyzing financial and operational data points—such as EBITDA, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and accrual revenue—to drive decision-making processes.
Collaboration will be central to your work, as you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and timely dissemination of reports. Additionally, you will experiment with advanced AI tools to automate repetitive workflows, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy.
**Qualifications and Skills**
Ideal candidates should have a strong foundational knowledge of SQL, proficiency in Python programming, and command over advanced Excel and Google Spreadsheets for data manipulation and reporting. Experience in building and managing comprehensive dashboards is essential, along with a basic understanding of core business and financial metrics including EBITDA, CAC, and accrual revenue.
Beyond technical skills, we are looking for individuals who exhibit intellectual curiosity, a problem-solving orientation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach will help you succeed in this role.
**Preferred Additional Skills**
Applicants with experience in modern data warehousing tools such as Snowflake, dashboarding platforms like Metabase, version control systems such as Git, and CRM tools including LeadSquared will be at an advantage. Familiarity with AI-driven tools and their practical application for enhancing data workflows is also desirable. Prior exposure to startup environments and experience working within cross-functional teams will enrich your contribution.
