Project and work requirements
The listed job requirements involve developing and demonstrating school-level experiments, preparing do-it-yourself kits and providing ATL laboratory training at different schools. The position therefore combines engineering knowledge with hands-on science education. It is distinct from the Computer Science JIGYASA opening, with its own post code, qualification and interview date.
Essential eligibility
Applicants need BE/BTech in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering. The maximum age is 35 years on 20 November 2026, with the advertised relaxations where applicable. Only Indian citizens are eligible. Qualifications and experience are assessed on the closing date, and result-awaited candidates are excluded. The notice says equivalent or higher degrees cannot substitute for an essential qualification unless expressly stated.
The age relaxation is five years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates and three years for OBC candidates, or as prescribed by Government instructions. Age, qualifications and experience are determined on the application closing date. Employed applicants need the required NOC when applying and/or at interview. PhD students may apply only when their research domain aligns with the project and with the required prior permission/NOC. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview; applications will be screened. No separate interview call letter is issued, so follow official website updates. No TA/DA is paid for attending, and selected applicants must join immediately on receiving an offer.
Pay and appointment terms
The monthly emoluments are INR 25,000 per month + HRA at 20%. The source identifies these as monthly amounts and lists the HRA percentage separately; no take-home salary or additional undisclosed benefit has been assumed. The project is currently shown as running up to 31 March 2031.
This is a temporary appointment at CSIR–IMMT, Bhubaneswar. Project staff may need to travel and stay elsewhere as the work requires. The initial engagement is one year or the remaining project duration, whichever is shorter, with extension or curtailment subject to project duration and satisfactory performance. A project’s end date is not a guaranteed employment term. The appointment does not create a right to permanent absorption or regularisation. The general cumulative project-engagement limits in the notice also apply.
The notice provides leave under the applicable CSIR rules, including its stated maternity/paternity and regular leave conditions. Read those conditions in the full advertisement before accepting. Either side may terminate engagement on one month’s notice or the specified emoluments in lieu. The institute may change the number or duration of engagements or cancel recruitment.
