About the Internship
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Labeling: Assist in gathering and labeling garment images for training datasets, focusing on categorizing by type, color, and style.
Model Development Support: Collaborate with senior engineers to train convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for garment detection and classification.
Feature Extraction and Analysis: Help identify garment features like patterns, shapes, and styles to enhance model accuracy.
Testing and Evaluation: Contribute to model testing on diverse datasets, assessing performance, identifying areas for improvement, and troubleshooting.
Documentation: Maintain clear, detailed records of datasets, findings, and model performance to support ongoing research and development.
Requirements
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, especially CNNs. Familiarity with Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras is a plus.
Object Detection Knowledge: Understanding of object detection algorithms (e.g., YOLO, Faster R-CNN) and basic image processing with OpenCV.
Data Handling: Comfortable with data collection, annotation, and preprocessing. Experience with data annotation tools is an advantage.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Open Source Interest: Experience with open-source projects is beneficial, demonstrating teamwork and initiative.
Eagerness to Learn: Strong interest in applying new techniques to a real-world computer vision project.
Hiring Process
Technical Interview: In-depth interview covering technical knowledge, including CNNs, object detection frameworks, and relevant coursework or projects.
Coding/Task Assessment: A hands-on coding task (e.g., data preprocessing or a computer vision task) to evaluate technical skills.
Final Interview: Pair programming session with the team.
