**Internship Overview:**
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Operations Intern to join our dynamic team for a three-month internship program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in the technical and operational facets of film and entertainment production. This is an unpaid internship designed to equip candidates with industry-relevant skills and insights by working closely alongside experienced technical professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Assist in the setup, operation, and routine maintenance of technical equipment, including cameras, lighting systems, audio gear, and associated hardware integral to film and video production processes.
– Provide support to the technical team in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues to ensure uninterrupted production activities.
– Aid in the management, organization, and cataloging of digital assets, such as video footage, audio elements, and other multimedia files, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval.
– Gain practical experience in the post-production workflow, including tasks related to video editing, color grading, and sound mixing, working closely with the post-production team.
– Contribute actively to the assessment and enhancement of existing technical processes and workflows, suggesting improvements to increase operational efficiency.
– Maintain meticulous inventory records of technical equipment and monitor its usage to support asset management and planning.
– Perform additional duties as assigned to provide comprehensive support to the technical operations team and contribute to project success.
**Candidate Profile & Qualifications:**
– Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or diploma program in Film Production, Media Technology, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
– Demonstrated enthusiasm for the film and entertainment industry, with particular interest in the technical operations that underpin high-quality production.
– Basic familiarity with film and video production equipment such as cameras, lighting kits, and audio recording tools is advantageous.
– Exposure to or knowledge of video editing software platforms (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) is preferred but not mandatory.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
– Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment, supporting shared goals and timely project completion.
– Excellent organizational and communication skills, facilitating clear and efficient information exchange.
