Who can apply
The official notice invites postgraduate students pursuing MTech, ME or MSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or allied disciplines. A background or interest in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, sensor interfacing, embedded systems, real-time signal processing, robotics and autonomous systems is preferred. No minimum marks, graduation batch, age limit or compulsory GATE/NET qualification is stated in this notice. The form asks whether applicants have qualified GATE/NET and requests the certificate if they answer yes; that question is not evidence that qualification is mandatory.
Project area and supervision
The advertised area covers analog and mixed-signal electronics, sensor interfacing and signal conditioning, embedded systems, real-time signal processing, autonomous systems, robotics and artificial intelligence. The listed faculty supervisor is Dr. Mourina Ghosh. These are the broad project areas in the notice; it does not publish a separate daily task schedule or a detailed selection test syllabus.
Fellowship, duration and location
The fellowship is ₹20,000 per month from the TIH IIT Guwahati-funded project. The internship lasts three months and is full time, with a tentative November start. A certificate will be issued on successful completion. The institution is at Bongora, Guwahati, Assam. Only the selection process is expressly described as online; the notice does not advertise a remote internship. Applicants should confirm reporting arrangements with the supervisor rather than treating online selection as permission to work from home.
How to prepare and apply
Use the exact Google Form linked below from the official notice. It is live and titled “Project Internship (TIH IIT Guwahati project) in ECE- IIITG- 2026”, created within IIIT Guwahati. It requests contact and background information, undergraduate and postgraduate academic details, GATE/NET status, additional information, a resume PDF and a merged certificates PDF. Each upload permits one PDF up to 10 MB. The form instructs applicants to fill NA where a field is not applicable. Prepare the documents and answer accurately before submitting; this article does not submit an application for you.
Dates and important distinctions
The advertisement is dated 30 October 2026, the application deadline is 10 November 2026 and online selection is on 13 November 2026. The notice does not specify a closing time. This ECE internship is distinct from IIIT Guwahati’s previously listed MeitY-funded CSE internship: it has a different advertisement, supervisor, project area, fellowship, duration and application form. Enquiries for this ECE opening can be sent to Dr. Mourina Ghosh at the contact given in the official notice.
