About the Role
Frigate is seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Intern to support growth initiatives within its B2B engineering and manufacturing business model. This role involves managing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the overall business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets aligned with Frigate’s B2B engineering/manufacturing model.
- Build and nurture business relationships with existing and potential engineering clients.
- Understand client needs and offer tailored solutions, responding to inquiries and preparing proposals.
- Conduct presentations via video calls on Frigate’s manufacturing profiles and assist clients in setting up accounts to meet their business requirements.
- Make outbound calls to potential clients and gather feedback or reviews from them.
- Maintain and manage leads, prospects, and deal pipelines using Zoho CRM software, and generate regular sales reports.
- Oversee key engineering customer accounts from business development to order delivery, ensuring end-to-end satisfaction.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies through multi-channel initiatives to drive business growth.
Requirements
- Education: Engineering graduates with experience in part/product sales. MBA in Marketing or Business Development is an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and team members.
- Empathy and understanding of customer needs, with a focus on providing effective solutions.
- Excellent analytical, time-management, and organizational skills.
- A learning mindset and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Zoho CRM is a plus.
