Position Overview
Are you passionate about delivering flawless user experiences across mobile, web, and backend applications? Swiggy is seeking dynamic SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) candidates to join our engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our platform, relied upon by thousands of restaurant partners and millions of customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct functional testing of mobile applications (Android/iOS) to ensure seamless performance.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate backend functionality.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure full test coverage.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Postman, and Charles Proxy for efficient testing workflows.
- Apply knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and software testing principles to manage the testing process.
- Manage the defect life cycle, including evaluating severity and prioritizing fixes.
- Pay close attention to detail when testing across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute and validate test cases based on requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
- Fundamental knowledge of HTTP and REST concepts.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools like Selenium and Appium.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, or Appium (preferred).
- Knowledge of cloud-based mobile testing tools such as LambdaTest and BrowserStack is a plus.
