Roles
As a Web Development Intern, you will:
- MERN Stack Development:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications using the MERN stack.
- Work on both front-end and back-end components to create seamless, user-friendly applications.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and deploy scalable web solutions.
- Participate in daily standups and work closely with senior developers to learn and apply industry best practices.
- Code Quality:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to meet project requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and development workflows.
- Testing and Optimization:
- Contribute to testing, debugging, and optimizing web applications to ensure high performance and scalability.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing both front-end and back-end components of web applications.
- Integrating APIs and data sources to create dynamic, data-driven applications.
- Debugging and troubleshooting issues across the full stack.
- Ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of web applications.
- Collaborating with designers, product managers, and developers to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Managing source code and version control using Git.
- Participating in sprint planning, development cycles, and retrospectives following agile methodologies.
- Continuously learning new technologies and tools to stay updated with industry trends.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates with:
- Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of JavaScript and ES6 features.
- Knowledge of React.js for front-end development and Node.js/Express.js for back-end development.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with version control using Git and GitHub.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication and a proactive attitude toward learning and growth.
- Experience (Optional but Preferred):
- Prior experience with the MERN stack is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with state management libraries like Redux.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Heroku.
- Basic understanding of GraphQL.
- Experience with front-end build tools like Webpack.
