Key Job Responsibilities
This internship offers a unique learning opportunity in a dynamic, international environment. As an Engineering Intern at Amazon, you’ll tackle a real-world project that enhances your engineering skills and supports Amazon’s operations.
The Amazon Engineering team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing technologies across our Global Warehouse & Delivery Network, from large warehouses with robotics to high-speed delivery stations close to customers.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience, grow professionally, and work on challenging projects related to Material Handling Equipment and other technologies. Interns will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
As an Engineering Intern, you may work with teams like Project Management, Change Management, Planning, Infrastructure, Reliability Maintenance, and more. You could take on projects such as:
- Designing, building, and improving order fulfillment infrastructure throughout Amazon’s supply chain.
- Managing and implementing small to medium-scale automation projects involving high-speed sortation, conveyance systems, and robotic cells.
- Training technicians in control systems basics to elevate on-site expertise.
- Supporting the EU Controls network with projects to monitor MHE metrics and provide data visualization.
- Collaborating with global teams to install and commission new equipment.
Relocation to designated work locations may be required.
A Day in the Life
This internship provides you, as a future manager, with an in-depth view of Amazon’s operational management, either from a corporate perspective or within Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Hubs, and Delivery Stations. You’ll experience how managers lead teams to meet customer expectations and foster a safe, productive work environment.

Basic Qualifications
- Currently in your penultimate or final year, pursuing a university degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial, or Software) or a STEM field.
- Available for a full-time internship of 3-6 months.
- Proficient in English and French (C1 level).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify improvements and innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Curiosity, proactivity, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360).
- Knowledge of ISO 13849 & 62061.
