Summer Undergraduate Research at Jodhpur (SURAJ) is IIT Jodhpur’s summer research internship program designed to give students hands-on exposure to mentored research, advanced labs, and project-based learning on campus. Launched from Summer 2025 onwards, SURAJ is also positioned as an opportunity for meritorious NIT students to explore a research pathway at IIT Jodhpur.

B.Tech./B.E.: in 3rd year
M.Sc.: in 1st year

Stipend Details (₹6,000/Month) — Conditions Apply
The ₹6,000/month stipend (for a maximum of 2 months) is not guaranteed for everyone. It is subject to eligibility, including:
Candidate must be pursuing B.Tech/B.S (after 5th sem) or M.Sc (after 1st sem) at NITs having a valid MoU with IIT Jodhpur
CGPA ≥ 7.0/10 (as per the relevant semester requirement)
A satisfactory grade from the project mentor at the end of the internship
Students who do not meet stipend criteria may still be allowed to do the internship without the institute stipend; in some cases faculty may support a stipend through projects.
