Join the Azure Specialized team in India, where we lead the development of specialized hardware and bare-metal solutions for Azure. Our portfolio includes large-scale specialized solutions such as Azure Large Instances, Azure VMware Services, supercomputers, and more.
We’re seeking a customer-focused, passionate software engineer with expertise in enterprise and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions. Your role will center on advocating for customers, prioritizing service excellence, and collaborating within a cohesive team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent professional experience. - Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role, including:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience. - 2+ years of professional software development and shipping experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions efficiently.
- Develop and implement code for products, services, or features, leveraging reusable code where applicable.
- Break down complex work items into smaller tasks, ensuring clarity and accurate estimation.
- Design and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure solution quality.
- Ensure software services are secure, reliable, highly available, and fault-resilient.
- Automate repetitive tasks to minimize implementation time and reduce human error.
- Participate in on-call rotations for incident support, mitigating impact and restoring service availability swiftly using a software-enabled toolset.
- Troubleshoot live-site issues, identify root causes, and deliver solutions with minimal disruption to customers.
