Roles
As a Data Analytics Intern, you will:
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support key business decisions.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track business metrics.
- Collaboration:
- Work with senior data analysts and scientists to clean, transform, and model data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify trends and insights that inform business strategy.
- Data Quality and Automation:
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in the development and automation of data pipelines.
- Data-Driven Solutions:
- Support the implementation of data-driven solutions across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on structured and unstructured datasets.
- Develop and maintain automated data collection systems and processes.
- Clean and preprocess data, handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.
- Generate and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Analyze data to derive actionable insights that improve business processes and performance.
- Create statistical models and conduct hypothesis testing to identify trends and correlations.
- Visualize and present findings to technical and non-technical teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytics project requirements.
- Learn and apply machine learning algorithms under supervision.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates with:
- Educational Background:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Knowledge of databases and query languages like SQL or NoSQL.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with statistical programming languages like R or SAS.
- Experience with data visualization libraries in Python (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and tools like Scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
