About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Gap Inc., you’ll design and deliver high-performing, scalable technology solutions in an Agile environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, security experts, and architects, to address critical business needs. Your role will encompass everything from requirements gathering and design to deployment and support. You'll lead by example, becoming proficient in at least one core programming language or platform while driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Define technical specifications to develop high-performing technology solutions.
- Write, review, and deliver software code to solve moderate business problems with a focus on customer experience.
- Embrace a DevOps mindset by applying automation, continuous integration, and delivery practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation and adopt emerging technologies.
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to new team members.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and recommend actionable solutions.
- Drive team collaboration and actively participate in problem-solving sessions.
Who You Are
- Experience in software development with knowledge of concepts, practices, and modern technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages and platforms such as React JS, Java, Microservices, Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with technology stacks related to your field.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
