Position: Data Science Engineer Intern
What You’ll Do
As a Data Science Engineer Intern, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing NLP components that power Prodigal's Conversational Intelligence products. Your responsibilities include:
- Entity Recognition:
- Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and Machine Learning models to identify entities in textual data.
- Regex Development:
- Craft advanced and complex regular expressions to extract critical insights from intricate conversations.
- Model Benchmarking:
- Benchmark NLP models using LLMs to ensure they perform optimally.
- Model Evaluation:
- Lead the evaluation of NLP models, clearly present findings, and propose improvements.
- Automation:
- Automate Python notebooks and scripts using shell scripting for enhanced efficiency.
- Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver outputs aligned with project goals and customer requirements.
- Performance Optimization:
- Enhance existing methodologies based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python scripting and PySpark.
- Solid understanding of Statistics and Machine Learning concepts.
- Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) tools and LLMs is preferred.
- Strong foundation in NLP fundamentals and text representation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git.
- Analytical Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen analytical mindset.
- Attention to Detail:
- High precision in producing quality documentation and maintainable code.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, NLP, or a related quantitative discipline.
